Who We Manufacture Bodycon Dresses For
At Xiuyu Apparel, we mainly work with fashion startups, independent brands, designers, boutiques, retailers, wholesalers and private label companies.
For a new collection, you can start with a sample to check the fit, fabric and construction before placing a bulk order. For repeat styles, we keep the approved sample and final specifications as the production reference, so the same style can be reproduced with fewer changes from one order to the next.
If you are testing a new bodycon style, our team can help review the fabric, measurements and construction before sampling. We also handle larger production runs when a style has already been tested in the market.

Custom Bodycon Dress Manufacturing & OEM Services
You can send us a tech pack, finished sample, sketch or reference photo. If the design is not fully specified, our team can review the construction and discuss the practical details before sampling.
Xiuyu Apparel provides OEM development based on your specifications, samples or reference photos. We produce fitted bodycon dresses in mini, midi and maxi lengths, using both stretch and woven fabrics.
During sample development, we pay particular attention to the bust, waist, hip and length measurements because small changes in a fitted pattern can noticeably affect the final shape.
Once the sample is approved, the measurements, construction details and approved sample are passed to production as the reference for bulk manufacturing.
Bodycon Dress Production & Customization Options
With more than 18 years of garment manufacturing experience, Xiuyu Apparel works as a direct clothing manufacturer for fashion brands, startups, private label companies and designers.
We handle the main production stages from fabric preparation and pattern making through cutting, sewing, inspection and packing. Our usual MOQ starts from 50–100 pieces per style and color, depending on the fabric, construction and order requirements.
If you already have a nominated fabric supplier, we can work with your material. If not, our team can help source fabric based on the required composition, weight, stretch, color and target cost.
We develop new dress styles regularly across mini, midi, maxi and other categories. You can also learn more about our wider custom clothing manufacturing services if you are developing products beyond dresses.

Custom Bodycon Dress Styles We Manufacture
We manufacture bodycon dresses in different lengths, fabrics and constructions. Design details such as neckline, sleeves, ruching, cut-outs, slits, draping and back construction can be adjusted during development.
Catalogue from Xiuyu Apparel

Black Bodycon Dress
Produced in stretch and woven fabrics, with fabric weight and opacity checked when darker or lighter colors require different handling.

White Bodycon Dress
Produced with attention to fabric opacity, fit and clean finishing, particularly important for lighter colors.

Long Sleeve Bodycon Dress
Sleeve length and armhole shape are checked against the body fit so the garment does not pull when the wearer moves.

Sexy Bodycon Dress
Low necklines, cut-outs and open-back details require extra attention to edge finishing and garment stability during wear.

Bodycon Maxi Dress
For longer fitted styles, we check fabric weight and side-slit construction to keep the dress from pulling or twisting during wear.

Midi Bodycon Dress
The midi length is checked against the approved body measurements so the finished hem falls consistently across the size range.

Mini Bodycon Dress
Shorter lengths require careful hem and side-seam control because small pattern changes are more noticeable on a fitted mini dress.

Red Bodycon Dress
Custom colors can be matched against a physical swatch or Pantone reference before bulk fabric is ordered.

Plus Size Bodycon Dress
Plus size patterns are adjusted for bust, waist and hip proportions before grading so the original silhouette is not simply enlarged from the base size.

Sleeveless Bodycon Dress
Armhole depth and neckline balance are checked during sampling to prevent gaping or pulling around the upper body.

Ribbed Bodycon Dress
Made with rib knit and other stretch fabrics, with fit adjusted according to the fabric’s stretch and recovery.

Satin Bodycon Dress
Satin needs different handling from stretch knits, particularly around seams, lining and areas under tension.

Short Sleeve Bodycon Dress
Sleeve opening and armhole measurements are checked together with the body fit to avoid pulling across the upper arm.

Pink Bodycon Dress
For custom pink shades, we can work from a Pantone reference or physical swatch before confirming the bulk fabric.

Elegant Bodycon Dress
Draped or clean-finish bodycon styles require careful pattern balance so the added fabric does not affect the main body fit.

Knit Bodycon Dress
Developed with stretch knit fabrics and pattern adjustments based on the fabric’s actual recovery.
Factory Certifications
Our factory holds BSCI, GOTS, ISO 9001 and OEKO-TEX certifications. The applicable certification depends on the product, fabric and production requirements, so we confirm the relevant documents when discussing an order.

Fabrics for Custom Bodycon Dresses
Fabric selection has a direct effect on how a bodycon dress fits. Before production, we normally look at the fabric weight, stretch, recovery, width and opacity rather than choosing fabric based on appearance alone.
Common options include:
- Stretch Jersey
- Rib Knit
- Ponte
- Nylon-Spandex
- Polyester-Spandex
- Stretch Velvet
- Stretch Lace
- Double Knit
- Satin
- Scuba Fabric
You can send us your own fabric specification or a physical fabric sample. We can also source alternatives if you need to balance fabric performance, appearance and cost.
For lightweight or highly stretchable fabrics, lining may be required to control transparency and improve the way the garment sits on the body. This is normally confirmed during sampling.
What We Need to Start a Bodycon Dress Sample
To start a sample, send us as much of the following as you have:
- Tech pack or measurement chart
- Reference photo or sample
- Fabric specification or fabric sample
- Required size range
- Estimated order quantity
- Label and packaging requirements
If some details are not ready, send us the available information first. We can review the style and let you know what is still needed before sampling.

Our Bodycon Dress Manufacturing Experience
Xiuyu Apparel has more than 18 years of garment manufacturing experience. We have developed and produced more than 1,000 dress styles from customer sketches, tech packs, finished samples and reference photos.
Our production covers pattern making, sampling, fabric sourcing, cutting, sewing, pressing, quality inspection and packing. Keeping these steps under one production team makes it easier to carry approved changes from sampling into bulk production.
Our factory has a monthly production capacity of around 150,000 pieces. We support smaller MOQ orders as well as repeat and larger production runs.

What We Check When Making Bodycon Dresses
A fitted dress leaves less room for pattern or fabric errors. A small difference in stretch or grading can change the fit around the bust, waist or hip, so these points are checked during development.
Fit Through the Bust, Waist & Hip
The main measurements need to work together rather than being checked separately. We compare the sample against the approved measurements and look at how the fabric sits around the body.
Fabric Stretch & Recovery
Two fabrics with a similar appearance can behave very differently when stretched. We check both stretch and recovery because poor recovery can cause the garment to lose its shape after wear.
Fabric Weight & Opacity
Lighter fabrics can become more transparent when stretched, especially in white or light colors. Fabric weight and lining are considered together when necessary.
Seam Construction
High-stretch fabrics place more pressure on seams during wear. Stitch type, thread tension and seam allowance need to suit the fabric being used.
Lining & Finishing
Depending on the style and fabric, we may recommend full lining, partial lining or no lining. Neckline, armhole and hem finishes are also confirmed during sampling.
Size Grading
After the base size is approved, the pattern is graded across the required size range. The grading needs to maintain the same overall silhouette rather than simply increasing measurements proportionally.
Fabric & Fit Check Before Bulk
If the bulk fabric is different from the fabric used for the sample, its stretch and recovery can affect the final fit. We check the production fabric before bulk cutting and confirm any necessary adjustment in advance.
Our Bodycon Dress Manufacturing Process
Once the sample is approved, the production details are carried through each stage of manufacturing.
Fabric Inspection → Pattern Preparation → Cutting → Sewing → In-Line QC → Pressing → Final Inspection → Packing → Shipment
Before cutting, the fabric is checked for color, width, visible defects and general condition. During sewing, in-line inspection helps identify measurement or workmanship problems before the garments reach final inspection.
The approved sample remains the main reference throughout production.

What Affects the Cost of a Custom Bodycon Dress?
Bodycon dress pricing is mainly affected by the fabric, construction and order quantity. When preparing a quotation, we normally look at:
- Fabric composition and weight
- Fabric consumption
- Pattern complexity
- Lining
- Zippers and trims
- Ruching or draping
- Embroidery or printing
- Number of colors
- Size range
- Order quantity
If you have a target price, tell us when sending the design. We can then compare different fabric or construction options instead of quoting based only on the product photo.
More Support for Your Bodycon Dress Production
Sample development usually takes around 3–7 days once the required design information and materials are available.
After the sample is approved and the fabric and production details are confirmed, bulk production normally takes around 25–30 days.
The actual schedule depends on the order quantity, fabric preparation, construction and any special finishing requirements. We confirm the production schedule for each order before bulk manufacturing begins.
As a direct clothing factory, we manage the main production steps in our own facility, including pattern making, cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality inspection. We also work closely with fabric suppliers to source materials based on your fabric requirements, target quality, and budget.
Pattern making, cutting, sewing and QC are handled through our own production operation. This allows production changes made during sampling to be passed directly to the bulk team instead of being explained again to a separate supplier.
If you do not have a nominated fabric supplier, we can help source materials according to the style requirements and target cost.
For bodycon dresses, we normally pay attention to fabric composition, weight, stretch, recovery, color and width. You can also send us a fabric sample or specification if you already know what you want.
Before cutting, incoming fabric is checked for color, width, surface defects and general condition.
Our QC team follows each order through the production process, starting from fabric inspection and sample confirmation to sewing, finishing, and final inspection. During production, we check key details including fabric quality, measurements, stitching, construction, finishing, labels, and packing.
If any issue is found during sewing or finishing, our QC team works with the production line to review and correct it before the garments move to the next stage. Before shipment, finished dresses are checked again against the approved sample and order specifications.
